- Explain how coal forms and is mined, and discuss challenges associated with coal usage;
- Discuss where nuclear fuel comes from, how a nuclear power plant operates, and what happens to spent nuclear fuel;
- Compare alternative energy sources, including hydroelectric, geothermal, and wind energy.
