This quiz contain 40 questions about the topics/ideas/concepts discussed in this unit and will be used to measure your understanding of these topics/ideas/concepts. Questions will be taken from both the readings and video resources presented in this unit.

You can take this quiz multiple times, but you'll need to get 80% or higher before you can proceed to the next unit. If you do not reach 80% on your first attempt, use it to identify your knowledge gaps (concepts from the video that you are still struggling to understand). Once you identify these gaps, go back to the reading and video materials and review these concepts BEFORE starting your second attempt at the quiz.   • Differentiate between the multiple styles of volcanism and describe how they relate to plate tectonics;
  • Identify the hazards of volcanoes and volcanic eruptions;
  • Explain how scientists monitor volcanic activity and hazards.

 

Directions:

  1. You are allowed multiple attempts at this quiz.
  2. The highest grade of all your attempts will be listed as your grade for this quiz on the gradebook.
  3. This quiz will be available to you for a minimum of 7 days and you can take it at any time during this availability window.
  4. However, once you start the quiz you will have only 80 minutes to complete it.
  5. The deadline to attempt this quiz will be on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 2:59 pm.
  6. Late submissions will still be accepted, but you will miss 1 point for every hour beyond the deadline. These points will be deducted from whatever grade you have, for this quiz, on the gradebook.
