Launch seminar is intended to get students off to a start within the first three semesters of your time here at Ohio State. Launch is specifically designed to support students in understanding and planning for how you are going to progress through the GE.

It’s not uncommon for new students to sign up for a Gen Ed course and ask, “why do I have to take this class?”

Launch is intended to give that context and help you get explicit guidance in why we have a GE, what the GE is intended to do for you, and how you should be taking advantage of it.

Launch seminar is a chance to help students really think about and understand and explore the general education curriculum and start making a plan to be an active participant in choosing experiences that help you reach your goals.
